The Esports World Cup has recently announced an exciting partnership with global soft drink brand Pepsi, adding to its impressive lineup of sponsors for the event.
Esports World Cup x Pepsi
In an official statement, Pepsi has inked a multi-year agreement to become a strategic partner for the Esports World Cup. Pepsi will offer unique activations and experiences at the event, including the Rockstar Bar featuring a karaoke area and a variety of drinks for fans to enjoy.
Furthermore, Pepsi has also secured a naming partnership with the esports organization Falcon. The team’s headquarters will now be known as Falcons HQ by Pepsi.
Global Powerhouses at EWC
Pepsi joins a growing list of prominent partners for the Esports World Cup, set to take place in Riyadh in July and August. The event already boasts partnerships with global brands like sports media platform DAZN, hardware brand LG UltraGear, sportswear giant Adidas, popular chocolate brand Kit Kat, and many others.
This isn’t Pepsi’s first foray into the world of esports. The brand had previously partnered with the Esports World Cup’s predecessor, Gamers8, and also maintains a multi-year partnership with the popular football game EA FC.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the legendary brand Pepsi to enhance the fan experience at the Esports World Cup this summer. Fans are the heartbeat of esports events, and it’s fantastic to align with Pepsi, who shares our passion for elevating their experiences,” expressed a representative from Pepsi.
The organizers of the Esports World Cup, the Esports World Cup Foundation, have faced scrutiny for their association with the Saudi Arabian government, prompting concerns from fans and the esports community about the country’s human rights record. The EWC is scheduled to kick off next week on July 3 with week one action, including tournaments for MLBB, League of Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone.
