Through this partnership, Jameel Motorsport will offer a range of motorsport experiences at the EWC events worldwide. Attendees can enjoy activities such as speed karting, immersive sim and VR racing, and access merchandise from brands like Toyota, Rally Jameel, GR, and Jameel Motorsport.
CEO of Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, Peter Aberle, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the commitment to engage with the Saudi Arabian population and align with Vision 2030 objectives. Ralf Reichert from Esports World Cup Foundation shared similar sentiments, welcoming the partnership with Jameel Motorsport.
Jameel Motorsport joins a prestigious list of partners for the EWC, including Amazon as the e-commerce partner, LG UltraGear, Pepsi, Adidas, TikTok, and others.
EWC is already underway
The announcement coincided with the commencement of the EWC on July 3, running until August 25. This event is the largest esports event in the MENA region, boasting a combined prize pool of $60 million across 21 game titles. Despite its scale, the event faced scrutiny from the esports community due to its association with the Saudi Arabian government and concerns regarding human rights issues in the country.
