Our main objectives behind creating the app include establishing a central information hub, improving accessibility, boosting fan engagement, expanding our reach and visibility, and exploring monetization opportunities.”
Esports World Cup App: All You Need to Know
The Esports World Cup 2024 commenced on July 4 and is expected to run until Aug. 25 at Boulevard Riyadh City in Saudi Arabia. With support from the Saudi government, this tournament boasts a whopping $60 million prize pool – the largest in esports history for a single event.
Despite the app launch coming halfway through the 2024 tournament, it will certainly be beneficial for future editions of the tournament. With numerous games and events, including the $20 million Club Championship in 2024, having a centralized hub for all information will be invaluable for esports fans.
The app will cover a wide range of features to cater to fan needs, including:
- Tournament Schedule
- Centralized information hub
- Live Streams
- Club Championship
- EWC 2024 News
Furthermore, the Esports World Cup Foundation has mentioned that the app will provide opportunities for monetization. It appears that the foundation intends to facilitate direct engagement between fans and sponsors through the app, potentially creating more revenue-generating avenues. The success of this approach will depend on the reception from fans.
