Enotria: The Last Song, a Souls-like game inspired by Italian mythology, was originally scheduled for release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on September 19. However, the Xbox version has been indefinitely delayed, as announced by the developers on Monday.
According to a statement on the game’s website, Jyamma Games encountered challenges in preparing the Xbox version for launch. The post was somewhat vague about the specific issues faced: “We understand how disappointing this news is to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the hard work of our dedicated team, we’ve encountered challenges that have delayed our release on the Xbox platform. We want to emphasize that this is not a decision we’ve made lightly,” the post reads.
The studio elaborated on the reasons on X (formerly Twitter) and Discord. A post on X mentioned that the delay was attributed to issues on Microsoft’s end. “This task is nearly impossible with Microsoft taking months to reply to us when we have the game ready for submission,” it states. The team is actively seeking contact with someone at Xbox to resolve the situation.
We believe that Xbox is blessed with a huge gaming community and we would love to release Enotria on your platform as fast as possible, as we spent a lot of money and resources to make it happen, but this task is nearly impossible with Microsoft taking months to reply to us when…

CEO Giacomo “Jacky” Greco shared on the official Discord platform (as reported by Windows Central and confirmed by Digital Trends) that the team invested heavily in an outsourcing studio to work on the Xbox port, and Microsoft did not respond for two months. “Obviously they don’t care about Enotria and they don’t care about you,” Greco wrote.
There are concerns surrounding Xbox’s release strategy currently. Recently, Black Myth: Wukong developer Game Science delayed the Xbox version of the successful game for further optimization. This news comes in the context of the upcoming release of the first-party title Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PlayStation 5 after its initial launch on Xbox and PC in December.
On Tuesday, Xbox fans received positive news with the announcement that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will be available on Xbox One. These Capcom remasters had previously skipped Xbox platforms.
