Mike Morhaime, cofounder of Blizzard, started Dreamhaven to take a new crack at building an awesome game company. Dreamhaven is not only working on its own games but has also become a publisher and is set to release Lynked: Banner of the Spark from a new studio called FuzzyBot.
The title may appear whimsical, but it has garnered attention due to Morhaime’s legendary status in the industry as one of Blizzard Entertainment’s cofounders. Morhaime, along with Amy Morhaime, departed Blizzard in 2018, establishing Dreamhaven in Irvine, California, and founding two new game studios: Moonshot and Secret Door. Their first publishing partnership is with FuzzyBot for Lynked.
Dreamhaven aims to foster an environment of innovation and creativity, free from corporate pressures, while providing resources and talent to support the studios. Moonshot Games and Secret Door are currently working on internal projects, with Lynked being the first game set for early access on Steam on October 22.
