BioWare unveiled the release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard on Thursday, confirming that the highly anticipated open-world RPG will launch on Halloween, October 31.
This aligns with Electronic Arts’ financials, setting the launch of The Veilguard in the fiscal third quarter between October 1 and December 31. The game remains on schedule with the marketing campaign gaining momentum.
Preorders for the game are now available, offering a bonus of blood dragon cosmetic armor.
A trailer leaked before the official announcement, which prompted BioWare to release a reveal roadmap leading up to the launch in August and beyond. This includes trailers, Q&As, and events scheduled throughout August and promises more in September.
Upcoming events include:
- August 15: Release date trailer and announcement
- August 19: High-level combat and PC spotlight
- August 26: Companions week
- August 30: Developer Discord Q&A
- September 3: IGN’s exclusive coverage begins
The game, which was formerly known as Dragon Age: Dread Wolf, was officially revealed as The Veilguard earlier this year. Character customization, companions, and other crucial elements have been showcased, with more details yet to come.
