Today, Dota 2 received a new patch in the form of gameplay update 7.37d. Released by Valve on October 1st for North America, this patch brings significant tweaks to items and fixes for some heroes.
Among the changes, Arcane Boots and Gleipnir were heavily affected. Both items now have increased costs, with Arcane Boots’ recipe costing 475 and Gleipnir’s recipe costing 550.
In addition to cost changes, Arcane Boots now provide less mana regen and a nerfed replenished mana active. Gleipnir received nerfs to damage, attack speed, health bonus, and chain lightning damage.
Valve also addressed the health creep issue by nerfing Solar Crest and buffing Spirit Vessel, making high health targets more vulnerable.
Furthermore, items like Bracer, Null Talisman, and Wraith Band no longer double their stats at level 25, marking a significant change.
Several heroes, such as Dragon Knight, Lone Druid, Luna, Monkey King, and Windranger, received deserved nerfs. Windranger’s whirlwind facet was severely nerfed, addressing her dominance at TI13.
Lone Druid’s Bear Necessities facet was also nerfed, reducing the prevalence of unkillable spirit bears in matches. Tusk’s Tag Team facet received improvements, but Drinking Buddies remains the preferred choice.
These changes will impact DreamLeague Season 24, especially for teams with Windranger or Tusk players. While this patch isn’t Act IV of Crownfall, it introduces needed balance adjustments.
Overall, Dota 2 patch 7.37d brings changes with the new Crownfall Cache II, setting the stage for a more balanced gameplay experience. However, anticipation for new heroes and acts remains high.
