While the release of patch 7.37c may not seem like a big deal, the presence of a game-breaking bug in Dota 2 is making the game unplayable for many.
However, despite this issue, the patch did bring several balance updates to multiple heroes and items.
Notable Nerfs in Patch 7.37c
Several heroes experienced nerfs in patch 7.37c, with Ringmaster, Tinker, and Nature’s Prophet being hit the hardest.
Heroes
Ringmaster’s nerfs were expected, as his recent release highlighted his overpowered nature. Changes include reducing movement speed, lowering strength attribute gain, and decreasing the duration of his ability, Wheel of Wonder. Additionally, the item Gleipnir, commonly built by Ringmaster, also saw a nerf.
Tinker, popular in the support meta, had his Defense Matrix ability nerfed, along with reductions to his Level 15 Talent. Omniknight also received multiple nerfs, affecting his healing and defensive skills.
Other heroes like Ember Spirit, Enchantress, Hoodwink, Marci, and Nature’s Prophet received minor nerfs.
Items
The item Gleipnir saw reductions in health bonus and damage from its Eternal Chains active ability.
Winners of Dota 2 Patch 7.37c
Some heroes benefitted from buffs in patch 7.37c, such as Phantom Lancer, whose illusions now deal more damage. Ogre Magi was a major winner, with improvements to his Multicast ultimate making it more efficient. Other heroes like Lion, Lina, Lich, and Earthshaker also received buffs.
Although the balance changes in patch 7.37c were welcome, Valve has yet to address the ongoing Dota 2 Midas bug, which continues to affect gameplay. Many players had hoped for a fix in this patch, but unfortunately, Hand of Midas remains unaffected.
