Exciting news for Dota 2 fans – the next hero to join the game will be Kez, the Hero of the Revolution, a bird samurai. This announcement was made at TI13, The International 2024, right after the Short Film Contest.
Kez, head of the Kazurai order and leader of the flightless, is set to be the newest playable character in Dota 2. The new hero will be released with Crownfall Act 4, expected to launch later this month (keep an eye out for updates on the exact release date).
Not much is known about Kez yet, but rumors have been circulating for some time. Initial impressions suggest that Kez may be a Strength or Agility melee hero focusing on mobility and hit-and-run tactics, but we’ll have to wait for more details!
Kez Release Date
Kez is expected to debut in Dota 2 alongside Crownfall Act 4. While the exact release date is not confirmed, late September, possibly September 24th, is anticipated.
Kez Lore – Dota 2 Hero
Kez’s story is intertwined with Dota 2’s Crownfall special event. In this event, Queen Imperia has banned the worship of the goddess Scree’Auk. To combat this, Scree’Auk empowers Dragonus (Skywrath Mage) and Shen (Vengeful Spirit) to rebel against the Queen.
Their task involves mobilizing the Flightless, a marginalized group within the Ghastly Eyrie who lack wings. Despite their oppression, Scree’Auk still watches over them.
Kez, as the leader of the flightless and the Kazurai order, seems to have taken over from the previous leaders, Kraw and Kestral.
Stay tuned for more information on Kez and the unfolding lore as it becomes available!
