Although Face ID is not available, the iPad mini 7 retains the reliable Touch ID system. With no Home button, you can use the top side button to unlock the device, similar to the iPad mini 6.
Setting up Touch ID is simple, allowing you to unlock the iPad mini, make payments, download apps, and confirm sensitive actions with just your fingerprint. While not as convenient as Face ID, Touch ID remains a practical biometric option.
The top button Touch ID sensor may take some getting used to, but it functions well for securing your iPad mini.
