Publisher Devolver Digital recently unveiled the launch of a new publishing label called Big Fan Games. This label is dedicated to enabling indie studios to create licensed games, with partnerships already established with major entities like Disney, Dark Horse Comics, Rebellion, Lionsgate, and HBO.
Big Fan Games will continue Devolver’s legacy of developing video game adaptations of media properties, such as “Reigns: Game of Thrones,” “John Wick Hex,” and “Hellboy Web of Wyrd” – but with a key difference: indie studios will have creative control.
In a tweet, Devolver stated, “Big Fan’s DNA is in games like John Wick Hex and Reigns: Game of Thrones – unique takes on familiar franchises led by devs we love. Those games rule. So let’s make more.”
Big Fan Games has not yet announced its lineup, but with impressive partners in place, gamers can anticipate titles based on well-known properties.
