Advertising agencies often create multiple versions of ads for various platforms, which can be a time-consuming process. Creatopy, a startup that uses AI to automate ad creation, has recently secured a $10 million Series A funding round led by European VCs 3VC and Point Nine.
Having originally developed in Romania but now headquartered in the U.S., Creatopy serves over 5,000 brands and agencies, helping them create, customize, and automate their advertising and visual content.
As advertising formats evolve across web and social media platforms, tools like Creatopy are in high demand to streamline processes such as A/B testing and personalization. Other companies in this space include Celtra and Bannerflow, focusing on optimizing and scaling digital ads.
With the increasing number of businesses engaging in online advertising, managing ad creatives has become a challenge, especially for smaller companies. Creatopy CEO Dan Oros believes their focus on agencies gives them an advantage over competitors like Canva, which recently entered the market with Canva For Business.
Oros emphasizes the importance of scaling and automation in ad creation, highlighting Creatopy’s expertise in this area compared to Canva’s focus on design. He points out the crucial aspects of creating ads, scaling them effectively, and serving them on various platforms like Facebook and Google Display.
Oros, who recently took over as CEO, brings a wealth of experience from his time at Google and YouTube, where he spearheaded marketing projects in Central and Eastern Europe. The founding team of Creatopy, including Daniel Demian and Gery Meleg, continue to contribute to the company’s growth and success.
