Concord is launching next week and the post-launch road map has been revealed. Publisher PlayStation announced plans for the game’s first season in a blog post on Tuesday. Firewalk Studios, the developer, is committed to around three seasons of content.
Concord Season 1: Tempest will be released in October featuring a new playable character, the Freegunner, new map, variants, and cosmetics. The game is designed as a live-service first-person team shooter with a progressive narrative and new story cinematics.
Concord will have an in-game store with optional cosmetics that do not impact gameplay, aiming to enhance the gaming experience with hundreds of earnable rewards through progression.
Season 2 is planned for January and will introduce a new Freegunner, cosmetics, and weekly vignettes to further expand the story. A new map and game mode are expected in Season 2. The roadmap suggests another major content drop in April, following a three-month cycle.
Concord is scheduled to launch on August 23 for PlayStation 5 and PC, with deluxe edition preorders gaining early access on August 20. Preloading is now available.
