Gamestream, a cloud gaming company, has successfully raised €4.5 million to expand its operations. The company currently offers games through partnerships with renowned publishers such as Disney Interactive, Outright Games, and Microids.
Founded by Ivan Lebeau and Xavier Cavin, the platform was launched in 2019 and only requires a minimum of three megabits of bandwidth. With over 300 licenses under its belt, Gamestream caters to families and casual gamers.
This French white-label platform extends its services across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and India. It has also integrated its software into Accor hotels globally. Following its recent expansion into India, Gamestream is now setting its sights on West Africa.
The Vision for Gaming
Co-founder and president Ivan Lebeau emphasizes the high demand for Cloud Gaming in countries where console ownership is limited due to high costs. He states, “Players can access unlimited console-quality licenses from their computer, tablet, or smartphone for just a few euros a month. This new funding will further establish our model on the international stage.”
Investors like Audacia and Bpifrance, along with the company’s existing backers through the Tech and Touch fund, have expressed confidence in Gamestream’s growth potential. Thomas Schmitz, the investment director at Audacia, highlights the role of streaming as the future of video games and Gamestream’s unique focus on gamers in emerging markets.
