Bullet hell roguelike game Enter the Gungeon is finally making its way to mobile in China after almost seven years since its initial release. The title, known for its availability on PC and consoles, is now officially authorized to be released on mobile platforms in China. This announcement comes from a new store listing on AppMagic.
The China mobile version will be published by X.D. Network, a company that has successfully brought other Western titles to the Chinese market such as Human: Fall Flat.
The mobile version of Enter the Gungeon is set to be released in China on August 31, 2024, as stated in the listing. PocketGamer.biz is currently seeking confirmation and additional details.
Two-Gungeoneer action
Retaining the original gameplay elements, the mobile version of the game will also feature two-player online cooperative play.
As of 2020, Enter the Gungeon had already sold over three million copies across all platforms where it was available at the time.
The success of Enter the Gungeon also led to the creation of a spinoff game called Exit the Gungeon, set in a series of dangerous elevators. This spinoff first launched on iOS devices via Apple Arcade on September 19, 2019, before making its way to PC and consoles the following year.
