Embattled organization BLEED Esports has reportedly abandoned two of its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) players in Singapore, leaving them stranded with no tickets to return home to the Philippines after a bootcamp. The team was in Singapore for the MPL Singapore Season, where the organization and most of its players are based, competing to qualify for the MLBB M6 World Championship.
According to SEA talent manager Sean “Hades” Goh, two members of the MLBB roster from the Philippines, Kyle “Dominic” Soto and Folkmarr, have been left stranded in Singapore without any communication or assistance from the upper management of BLEED Esports. Even though the players were in touch with BLEED Esports’ COO, Ian Huston, and head of esports, Anthony “ImpressioN” Lim, communication went silent after the conclusion of the MPL Singapore Season 8 on Oct. 13.
The COO informed players that he would be unavailable due to his upcoming wedding and directed them to the CEO, Mervyn Goh En Wei. The players have now resorted to seeking help from their families to book flights home. In the meantime, they are being supported by Hades and BLEED’s MLBB team manager.
This incident adds to a series of troubles for BLEED Esports, with their VALORANT team being expelled from the VCT Pacific and allegations of unpaid salaries to players. The organization’s CS2 team and others have also come forward claiming unpaid dues, leading to a cascade of financial issues. Court documents indicate that BLEED CEO Mervyn Goh En Wei is facing a criminal trial for irregular financial practices, further adding to the organization’s woes. BLEED is now facing mounting debts and potential collapse.
