Indie studio Berserk Boy Games has just announced its upcoming project, Berserk B.I.T.S. Scheduled for an early access release on Steam later this year, this browser-based game transforms Mega Man Battle Network into an idle RPG.
Following the success of their previous title, Berserk Boy, which was recognized as one of the best games of the first half of 2024, the studio’s new project will maintain the pixel art nostalgia but within a different gaming genre.
Berserk B.I.T.S. offers players an idle game experience within a desktop window on their PC, allowing them to battle viruses, collect chips, and decorate a home base with purchased furniture. The game also incorporates an idle RPG element where players can hire helper programs.
Drawing inspiration from Mega Man Battle Network, the game features battles on grid layouts where enemies and bosses move towards the hero, who must strategically navigate and utilize battle chips for powerful attacks.
Set for an early access launch later this year, Berserk B.I.T.S. will initially be available exclusively for Windows, with plans to expand to other platforms post-launch. Berserk Boy Games aims to provide ongoing support by adding new content and features based on player feedback.
