Looking for a unique gift for your favorite gamer? Beats by Dr. Dre has just released a special Minecraft edition of its new Beats Solo 4 headphones.
If you’re familiar with our Beats Solo 4 review, these headphones offer good sound quality (though not exceptional), lack active noise cancellation, and come at a more affordable price point compared to the Beats Studio Pro. The Minecraft theme is evident with metallic green hinges and the iconic Creeper character design.
The headphones come with a matching green Minecraft-themed bag. While we were hoping for a green USB-C cable, it’s not included.
The Beats Solo 4 headphones feature improved audio quality, “UltraPlush” cushions for comfort, and up to 50 hours of battery life on a single charge – 25% better than the Beats Solo3. They also support Apple’s Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking and are compatible with both iOS and Android devices, including quick pairing and “find my” features. Android users should download the Beats app for additional settings and firmware updates.
The “Beats x Minecraft Special Edition Solo 4” headphones retail for $200 and will be available starting July 18 on the Apple and Target websites, select Apple stores in the U.S., and EE stores in the U.K. Purchasers will receive a unique code for an in-game Minecraft headphone character creator item, and content creator TinaKitten will curate a Spatial Audio playlist exclusively on Apple Music.
