Baldur’s Gate 3 took Game of the Year at the prestigious Dice Awards, the academy-voted game event in Las Vegas today.
Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3, already a recipient of numerous accolades, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards, was honored with the top prize at the 27th annual Dice Awards.
Elsewhere at the event, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was also a big winner, claiming six awards, including Outstanding Achievement in Character for Miles Morales.
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), with over 30,000 industry experts as members, determined the winners based on their accomplishments in 23 diverse categories, spanning technology, art, animation, story, and audio.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games was recognized in multiple categories, including Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Character, Original Music Composition, Audio Design, and for winning the title of Action Game of the Year.
Belgian game developer Larian Studios also received accolades for Baldur’s Gate 3, with outstanding achievement awards across Story, Game Direction, and Game Design, and the prestigious Game of the Year, in addition to the Role-Playing Game of the Year award.
Other winners at the awards included Nintendo, Remedy Entertainment, as well as legendary Japanese music composer, pianist, and sound director, Koji Kondo, who received the esteemed Hall of Fame award from composer Brian Tyler.
Touching upon the significance of the event, Meggan Scavio, President of the AIAS, expressed her gratitude to the outstanding nominees and winners, acknowledging their remarkable contributions to the world of gaming.
The 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony, streamed live by media partner IGN and hosted by Greg Miller and Stella Chung, gathered game developers and industry professionals from around the world on February 15 at the Aria Las Vegas for an evening of celebration.
