Saber Interactive has addressed leaks surrounding Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, including a playable version that has surfaced online.
Some individuals have already played a pre-release build and shared videos of it on YouTube. The leaked version, available on torrent sites, features both the campaign and multiplayer modes. According to Insider Gaming, the build is approximately 75GB and is mostly player-ready with some placeholder assets.
While some leaked videos have been removed due to copyright claims, sections of the game can still be found online as of now.
In a statement on publisher Focus Entertainment’s account on X (formerly Twitter), Saber condemned the leakers and urged players to refrain from accessing the build or sharing spoilers.
“Our teams have dedicated years of hard work and passion to create a game that meets your expectations. It’s disheartening that many surprises we intended to keep secret have been revealed,” the statement expressed. “We urge everyone to avoid this incomplete build and not spoil the experience for those eagerly waiting for the official launch.”

Game leaks are not uncommon before launch. For instance, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leaked about a week before its scheduled May 2023 release. However, the release date for Space Marine 2 is September 9 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, so the launch is still far ahead.
Focus announced that the game had achieved the gold status earlier this month, indicating it’s nearing completion. The cancellation of an open beta was announced to focus on optimization and refinement, with a limited Bolt Pistol skin offered to those who signed up.
“Space Marine 2 is almost ready,” announced a post on Steam. “Our focus is now on optimization, polishing, and resolving any lingering issues before the September 9 launch. Therefore, a public online beta will not be conducted, as it would divert attention from preparing for the full release, and our priority is to ensure the best possible experience upon launch.”
