Asus has unveiled its latest gaming keyboard, the Falchion Ace HFX, featuring a rapid-trigger toggle for immediate keypress reset. This feature, commonly used for speed tapping in games like Counter-Strike 2, has recently been banned by Valve.
While the timing of the launch may be unfortunate, the Falchion Ace HFX still stands out as Asus’s first keyboard to utilize Hall Effect magnetic switches. Despite the potential ban in certain games, the keyboard’s instant reset can still offer advantages in competitive play.
The compact 60% frame of the Falchion Ace HFX houses a 65% layout and full-sized keycaps, making it suitable for competitive gaming. Additionally, the keyboard boasts an 8,000Hz polling rate and dual USB-C ports for versatile connectivity options.
Designed for durability, the Falchion Ace HFX features a gasket mount and five layers of internal sound dampening to enhance typing experience and longevity. Pricing and release details are yet to be announced, but the keyboard is expected to launch in the coming months with a price point likely to exceed $150.
