Arc Search quickly became one of my favorite iPhone apps earlier this year. It boasts a super-fast browsing experience, a clean interface, and an exceptional AI feature. The Browser Company, developers of Arc Search, have just announced that the app is now available on Android.
Starting October 3, Android users with devices running Android 13 or later can download Arc Search from the Google Play Store. While the app is still in open beta and some iOS features are missing, it’s still exciting to see a top iPhone app make its way to Android.
Getting started with Arc Search is a breeze. Upon opening the app, you’re greeted with a search bar to enter a URL or query. You can open a new tab by tapping the + icon and view all open tabs/searches by tapping the Cards icon in the bottom-left corner.
Arc Search’s standout feature is Browse for Me. By typing a query and hitting Go/Enter, the app performs a typical Google search. Alternatively, you can use the Browse for Me button. The AI in Arc Search reads multiple websites to generate a detailed answer with sources, making it one of the most useful search methods.
Arc Search also comes with an ad blocker enabled by default, blocking ads, banners, trackers, and pop-ups. While features like voice search and Raise to Call Arc are not yet available, they are expected to arrive as the app progresses through beta.
