Exciting news for iPhone and Apple enthusiasts! Apple made a big announcement today by launching the iOS 18.1 developer beta, which includes Apple Intelligence features for the first time.
This marks a significant advancement in Apple’s AI initiatives, although the Apple Intelligence experience in the iOS 18.1 beta is not yet complete. Some features, including the most impressive ones, are still unavailable.
One of the standout features showcased at WWDC 2024 earlier this year was the enhanced Siri, capable of answering questions based on personal information and context. A remarkable demo of Siri’s capabilities was revealed during the event, which you can watch in the video below.
In the demo, Siri effortlessly locates information about the user’s mother’s flight and displays real-time flight tracking data. Additionally, Siri understands context by surfacing a lunch reservation mentioned in a text conversation.
While the future looks promising, these features are not yet accessible. The personal context features demonstrated by Siri are expected to be available by the end of the year, as reported by Joanna Stern in The Wall Street Journal.
Although not included in the iOS 18.1 beta, the Siri updates are eagerly anticipated. The beta is currently available for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with the iOS 18 public beta also open for download.
