Apple is expanding its AI capabilities beyond its current offerings on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to introduce these features to its Vision Pro headsets as well.
This move aligns with Apple’s strategy of making Apple Intelligence, a suite of features that includes an upgraded Siri, proofreading tools, and custom emojis, available on all its latest devices. While the Vision Pro is a high-end device with a niche audience, it showcases Apple’s commitment to integrating AI across its product lineup.
According to Gurman, Apple Intelligence will not debut on the Vision Pro this year. The tech giant is focusing on adapting the features for mixed reality experiences, a departure from their traditional implementations on laptops and smartphones.
In addition, Gurman reveals that Apple is enhancing the in-store demo experience for the Vision Pro, allowing potential buyers to view personal media on the headset. The company is also switching the headband from the Solo Loop to the more comfortable Dual Loop design.
Furthermore, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that Apple intends to mass produce AirPods with infrared cameras by 2026. These upgraded AirPods are expected to enhance spatial audio experiences and offer gesture controls when used in conjunction with the Vision Pro.
