Apple is developing a dedicated gaming hub for iOS, catering exclusively to games.
As per a report by 9to5Mac, this hub will combine elements from the App Store and the Game Center, integrating seamlessly with users’ profiles while offering a range of new features.
Featuring various tabs like “play now” for handpicked games and editorial content, as well as sections for games, friends, and more, this app will showcase challenges, leaderboards, and achievements from both the App Store and Apple Arcade.
Engaging More Players
In addition to game promotions and updates, this new App Store-like app may also incorporate FaceTime and iMessage for enhanced player interaction.
Apple is also considering incorporating mini-games through App Clips, offering Xbox-like functionality for users to check statuses, monitor friends’ activities, browse games, and manage their gaming library.
The goal is to attract a wider gaming audience with this app alongside Apple Arcade. The launch date of this new app with respect to iOS updates remains unconfirmed.
