Anthropic, one of the world’s top-funded generative AI startups with $7.6 billion in funding, is launching a new paid plan geared towards enterprises, particularly those in heavily regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance, and legal.
The new plan, named Team, offers customers priority access to Anthropic’s Claude 3 family of generative AI models along with additional administrative and user management controls.
Scott White, product lead at Anthropic, explained, “We introduced the Team plan in response to the increasing demand from enterprise customers seeking to deploy Claude’s advanced AI capabilities throughout their organizations. This plan is tailored for businesses of all sizes and industries who wish to provide their employees with access to Claude’s language understanding and generation features in a secure and controlled environment.”
The Team plan, joining Anthropic’s individual premium plan Pro, offers a higher usage per user compared to the Pro plan, allowing users to significantly increase the number of chats they can have with Claude. Team customers also receive a 200,000-token (~150,000-word) context window as well as all the benefits of the Pro plan, including early access to new features.
Additionally, Team introduces new toggles for billing and user management, with collaboration features such as citations for verifying AI-generated claims, integrations with data repositories like codebases and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and a platform for working collaboratively on AI-generated documents and projects with team members.
Team customers will soon be able to utilize tool use capabilities for Claude 3, which recently entered open beta, enabling users to equip Claude 3 with custom tools for a wider range of tasks similar to the capabilities of OpenAI’s GPTs.
Anthropic’s Team plan is competitively priced at $30 per user per month, billed monthly, with a minimum of five seats. This pricing structure offers a straightforward per-user model allowing businesses to start small and scale up gradually.
Overall, Anthropic’s strategic moves signify its growth and stability in the AI market, backed by strong financial support from companies like Amazon and Google, positioning it well to expand its market share and convince businesses of the value of its generative AI technology.
Aside from the Team plan, Anthropic is also launching an iOS app providing users with access to Claude 3, including free access as well as upgraded Pro and Team features. The iOS app syncs with Anthropic’s web client and leverages Claude 3’s vision capabilities for real-time analysis of uploaded and saved images, providing a seamless and integrated experience for users across different platforms.
