The All Knights, a team from the LLA (Latin America’s professional league), has announced their voluntary withdrawal from the competition before the start of the second split. This decision has reduced the number of teams in the league from 7 to 6.
All Knights made the decision voluntarily to leave the LLA
Riot Games confirmed the news in a post, stating that All Knights reached out to discuss their future in the league. The esports organization cited internal reasons for their withdrawal, leading to a revised competitive format for the LLA Closing phase.
The league organizers have decided not to replace All Knights with a new team, resulting in a reduced team count for the upcoming split.
LLA drops from 8 to 6 teams in less than half a year
All Knight’s departure marks the second team to exit the competition this year, following Team Aze’s departure before the spring split. Despite this setback, All Knights assured fans that the organization will continue its operations, albeit without the League of Legends team.
This development adds to the challenges faced by minor regions in the League of Legends esports scene. However, the LLA will maintain its own representative spot in international tournaments.
Estral Esports will now carry the flag for the LLA at the Mid-Season Invitational, which is commencing today with the play-in stage.
