Recent leaks have offered a sneak peek at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, set to be revealed in October and competing against the Google Pixel 8a. Are the leaked details enough to make us consider this over Google’s budget-friendly phone? Images suggest the smartphone will be available in five colors: graphite, blue, silver/white, green, and yellow, with two exclusive colors for Samsung’s website.
Prior leaks mentioned color options of black, gray, light blue, light green, and yellow for the upcoming “fan edition” phone. The current Galaxy S23 FE comes in graphite, purple, cream, mint, tangerine, and indigo. The Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1900 nits peak brightness, and a Samsung Exynos 2400e processor. These upgrades surpass the Galaxy S23 FE. The FE model is expected to have an aluminum frame.
The camera setup is likely to include a 12MP ultra-wide, 50MP wide-angle, 8MP 3x zoom telephoto, and a 10MP selfie camera. With a 4,565mAh battery, the Galaxy S24 FE could offer up to 78 hours of music playback and up to 29 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Typically released toward the end of the year, fan edition Samsung Galaxy phones offer features from earlier models at a slightly lower price. The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to include Galaxy AI features like Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate. The software is likely to be Android 14 with at least One UI 6.1.1.
While the price for the Galaxy S24 FE has not been disclosed, the Galaxy S23 FE starts at $599. Considering Samsung’s recent price adjustments, the Galaxy S24 FE could start at $649 or $699 for the base model.
