Strands is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times that offers a challenging twist on the traditional word search. To conquer this puzzle, you must have a sharp eye and keen problem-solving skills.
If you find yourself struggling to solve Strands, don’t hesitate to seek some assistance. Below, you’ll find the solutions to today’s puzzle, which can help guide you through the challenging task of completing Strands.
How to play Strands
In Strands, your objective is to uncover the “theme words” hidden within the grid of letters. Manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words, then double-tap the last letter to confirm your word. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and can no longer be selected.
Even non-theme words are helpful in Strands. For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long, you’ll receive a hint—revealing the letters of one of the theme words for you to unscramble.
Every letter in the grid is used to spell out the theme words without any overlap. Each letter is utilized exactly once.
Each puzzle includes a “spangram,” a special theme word that describes the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. When you identify the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Your aim should be to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying too heavily on hints.
