Vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku joins the world of Crypt of the NecroDancer with a new DLC release. Players can now control Miku in the PC and PS4 versions of the game by purchasing a $2 downloadable content.
Crypt of the NecroDancer is a rhythm-based roguelike dungeon crawler, making it a perfect fit for Hatsune Miku’s musical background in the gaming world. Known for her appearances in rhythm games like Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Just Dance, Miku brings her own unique charm to Crypt of the NecroDancer. This collaboration is another example of the game’s developer, Brace Yourself Games, embracing crossovers, as seen in their previous collaboration with Nintendo for Cadence of Hyrule.
The DLC remixes Crypt of the NecroDancer gameplay to incorporate Miku’s abilities, adding a fresh twist to the experience. With Miku, players must move to the beat to avoid damage and utilize her unique skills to navigate the dungeon effectively.
In addition to her standard abilities, Miku can charm enemies with her exclusive Sing ability, turning them into allies temporarily. The DLC features 15 new songs designed for Miku’s gameplay, each corresponding to different stages in the game.

The Hatsune Miku DLC for Crypt of the NecroDancer is currently available on PC and PS4, with a Nintendo Switch release scheduled for April 13. Brace Yourself Games has not confirmed plans for an Xbox port at this time.
