Today marks the 10th anniversary of Monument Valley, a groundbreaking game created by ustwo games. To celebrate this milestone, ustwo games has announced a year-long celebration.
Monument Valley revolutionized gaming on iOS by showcasing the capabilities of Apple’s emerging devices and introducing innovative touch interface gameplay. The game’s focus on thoughtful puzzles and beautifully designed levels set it apart from traditional mobile games, earning it critical acclaim and fan adoration.
With stunning visuals that utilized parallax and 3D topography, Monument Valley allowed players to navigate through visually stunning and impossible landscapes, turning the game world upside down.
The game’s success led to the release of a sequel in 2017, and to date, both games have collectively reached over 160 million downloads across various platforms. Now, as part of the Apple Arcade collection, Monument Valley is set to make its debut on Netflix Games in 2024.
