Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. The challenge is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by finding connections between them. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compete with friends.
Some days are more challenging than others. If you’re struggling to solve today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchises, book series, color shades, restaurant names, and more.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle the grid to rearrange the words for better visualization of potential connections.
Each group is color-coded from easiest (yellow) to hardest (purple). Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. A wrong guess counts as a mistake, with only four allowed before the game ends.
