Game Director Vicent Ramirez drew inspiration for Cataclismo from playing with Legos.
Digital Sun, a Spanish studio known for Moonlighter and The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, is developing Cataclismo, an indie game with classic real-time strategy gameplay and a unique building mechanic.
At the Game Developers Conference, Ramirez showcased how Cataclismo introduces new layers of strategy beyond unit management in the genre.
The game is set in a kingdom overrun by Horrors, and players must strategically deploy different unit types to combat them while also gathering materials and constructing structures.
Cataclismo challenges players to defend against Horrors while customizing their structures, adding a new level of strategic depth to the gameplay.
Cataclismo offers around 30 hours of content and a unique gameplay experience that blends strategy and building mechanics.
Cataclismo will be available for PC on July 16.
