Strands is a fresh daily puzzle challenge from the renowned New York Times. Offering a more challenging twist on the traditional word search, this puzzle requires a sharp eye and a quick mind to crack.
Similar to other popular games like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can present a tough challenge on certain days. Don’t hesitate to seek help if you find yourself stuck. Below, you can find the solved puzzle for today’s Strands.
How to play Strands
To begin a Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the “theme words” hidden within the grid of letters. Use dragging or tapping to manipulate letters and form words, then double-tap the last letter to confirm. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Finding non-theme words also aids your progress. For every three non-theme words of at least four letters in length that you discover, a hint will be provided – revealing the letters of one of the theme words for you to unscramble.
All letters in the grid are utilized to spell out the theme words, without any overlapping. Each letter is used exactly once.
Each puzzle includes a “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) that relates to the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. Upon identifying the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Your aim should be to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying too heavily on hints.
