Shifty Eye Games has secured $580,500 in funding from Canadian government entities and has enlisted the expertise of three notable figures in the gaming industry as advisors.
The Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based indie game studio has welcomed game industry veterans Vikas Gupta, Justin Ratushniak, and Bungie co-founder Alex Seropian to its advisory board. It has also expressed its ongoing interest in recruiting key talents for its future projects.
These strategic moves align with a significant milestone for the company as it gears up for its largest project to date – a stealth-adventure game based on a globally renowned movie franchise.

Over his three-decade career in the gaming industry, Seropian co-created popular games such as Halo, Marathon, and Myth. He is also the founder of the game studio Look North World, which focuses on developing and publishing games and entertainment for creator communities. Previously, Seropian held executive roles at Microsoft, Disney, and Electronic Arts.
Gupta, a seasoned technology CEO and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the interactive digital media and electronic entertainment industries, is known for building platforms used by millions of online users. He has collaborated with major industry players like Activision, Electronic Arts, Disney, and Google, negotiating strategic agreements for renowned video game franchises.
Ratushniak, managing partner at Monolith Marketing Agency, joins Shifty Eye Games as a marketing advisor with a track record of developing disruptive strategies across various industries. His experience at Asgard Consulting, where he secured significant funding for clients, is a valuable asset for companies looking to build their brand.
