VCL 2024 Italy Rinascimento Split 1 Playoffs – riding the wave of enthusiasm
The VCL 2024 Italy Rinascimento is in its second year following a successful debut in 2023. The Italian team DSYRE showcased their skills during the VALORANT Challengers Ascension, positioning Italy’s VALORANT league as a contender in the European scene.
The Split 1 playoff teams
DSYRE dominated the regular season with an undefeated record, solidifying their status as the team to beat with an impressive 183-83 record.
Team coach Simone “Simoz” Giovannini recognizes the challenge ahead as they face the up-and-coming VX300 Gaming. He acknowledges the pressure and emphasizes the team’s preparation to defend their title.
VX300 Gaming, a relatively new team, surprised everyone by finishing second in the regular season standings. They are eager to continue their success in the playoffs.
NOVO Esports and Happy Game Esport (HGE) are set to battle in the lower bracket after finishing tied in the standings. Both teams are looking to elevate their game for the playoffs.
VCL 2024 Italy Rinascimento Split 1 playoffs – format and schedule
The playoffs kick off on March 28 with DSYRE facing VX3 in the upper bracket. The winner secures a spot in the final, while the loser drops to the losers’ bracket. NOVO and HGE will compete on March 30 for a chance to progress in the tournament.
The losers’ bracket final is scheduled for April 7, leading up to the Grand Final on April 14. The entire playoff bracket schedule is as follows:
- Match 1: DSYRE vs VX3 – March 28
- Match 2: NOVO vs HGE – March 30
- Match 3: Loser of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2 – April 2
- Grand Final: Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 3 – April 14
