Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. The objective is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying their relationships. The puzzle resets every night at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compete against friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still need help, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to group them into sets of four by identifying their common connections. These connections can include video game franchises, book series, colors, restaurant names, and more.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct grouping. You can rearrange the words on the grid to help visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest to identify, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed and the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with a limit of four before the game ends.
