Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. Your challenge is to group 16 words into four secret categories by discovering their connections. The game resets nightly at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your wins and compete with friends.
If today’s Connections puzzle is giving you trouble, check out our tips below. If you still can’t solve it, the answers are at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to group them into four sets by identifying the connections between them. Sets could be related to video game franchises, book sequels, colors, or restaurant chains.
Some words may fit multiple themes, but only one answer is correct. You can shuffle the grid to help see potential connections. Each group is color-coded: yellow, green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. Correct guesses will reveal the theme and remove those words. Guess incorrectly, and it counts as a mistake. You only have four mistakes before the game ends.
