Our 10th year of delivering deal-making, career-changing conference experiences for the games industry started off with a bang at a record-breaking PG Connects London. And now, this week’s San Francisco event has proven to be just as exciting!
On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th of March, we welcomed over 1000 attendees from more than 500 companies to our event, setting the stage for GDC week. With over 1000 visitors from 50 countries, this San Francisco event was our largest US gathering yet and is poised to become a staple in the games industry calendar.
Collaboration was at the center of PG Connects San Francisco as we joined forces with Game Connection America to create an epic event for the industry. Like PG Connects, Game Connection is known for its focus on business networking and knowledge sharing, bringing together key players in the industry.
Many attendees were eager to learn about the latest trends and best practices in game design and monetization, with over 100 expert speakers delivering insightful sessions across 10 tracks and five Round Tables. The show floor was bustling with brands showcasing their products and services.
This year’s event featured international representation with delegations from Switzerland, Costa Rica, Turkey, and the UK Department of Trade’s UK Games Showcase. Indie developers had the opportunity to receive feedback, media coverage, and prizes at the Very Big Indie Pitch events.
The winners of this year’s Very Big Indie Pitch were announced, with Battle Bears Heroes by SkyVu taking the top spot in the Mobile edition, and Kohlrabi Starship by Whimsical Wolff Games winning in the PC & Console edition.
Steel Media CEO Chris James expressed his excitement for the event, emphasizing the networking opportunities and the collaboration with industry partners. The event was a huge success, thanks to the support of attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
