Now.gg has crossed 100 million for its cloud gaming platform and is introducing a zero to 5% platform fee for iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and television.
With Now.gg, users can instantly play games with friends and use a common currency across games on all major platforms, accelerating adoption and opening up massive distribution for game developers.
Rosen Sharma, CEO of the Campbell, California-based company, stated that the company now has the largest cloud gaming platform.
Developers can expand their audience by publishing their games on Now.gg and keep 95% to 100% of the game revenue – via a platform fee of 5% for in-game transactions and 0% for transactions on now.gg powered web shops.

Once developers publish their apps to Now.gg, they get access to a vast cross-platform user base that can instantly access and play games, watch others play, record gameplay, interact with live games, and use a common currency for in-app purchases across multiple titles. These shared experiences are targeted at the new-age users who seek immersive experiences.
“In China, mini-games have surpassed $5 billion in revenue, led by WeChat, and have become the fastest-growing segment of gaming. Now.gg is enabling developers to replicate the same success in western markets with Discord and Telegram,” said Lisa Hanson, president of Niko Partners. This opens up massive distribution for game developers and solves the problem of reduced targeting power.
Developers only need to upload a single version of the game to Now.gg, which then transforms their game into high-performing cloud experiences for multiple platforms. Once the payments are integrated, a webshop for the game is automatically generated.
“We have been focused on cross-platform gaming for over a decade. BlueStacks by Now.gg, which enables local play for mobile games on PC and Mac, recently surpassed 1.5 billion downloads,” said Sharma. “The cloud has taken this to a different level, and we are seeing 8-10 large and Indie developers sign up to publish their games to Now.gg every day.”
Now.gg is a cloud gaming platform that offers users the ability to instantly play games with friends, use a common currency across games on all major gaming ecosystems, and access Now.gg Studio to publish games to the service. Now.gg pioneered cross-platform gaming for mobile games with BlueStacks App Player, which recently crossed 1.5 billion lifetime downloads.
Rosen’s Bluestacks company was the predecessor to Now.gg, starting out in 2010 as a way to use the cloud to play Android games on other platforms like the PC. It crossed a billion downloads in 2018. Now.gg cloud was launched in 2021.
Now.gg has 400 employees and has raised $60 million to date.
Now.gg has partnered with Line Next to bring several games to Now.gg for cross-platform play and free distribution across all major platforms.
The Now.gg service seamlessly integrates with platforms like Telegram and Discord where a large number of users of Web3 based games already exist. This offers a unique way for Line Next to reach these users. Additionally, the cloud enables seamless integration with the web-based DOSI marketplace from within the games.
Users can enjoy Line Next’s games both on Line Next’s Digital Commerce platform DOSI and on Now.gg.
Now.gg also partnered with NTT Digital to enhance Now.gg Wallet, enabling gifting and payments within games across iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and TV.
With a cross-platform wallet, users can seamlessly transact across all platforms without the need to store payments on each platform separately.
The wallet functionality provided on the Now.gg platform allows users to make in-app purchases for games across platforms. Additionally, users can send gifts inexpensively and securely to other users, for both Web2 or Web3.
“By utilizing NTT Digital’s scramberry Wallet for business, we believe we can offer a safer and more secure gaming experience to Now.gg users. Now.gg is also one of the companies in which NTT DoCoMo Ventures has invested, and through this alliance, we aim to create further value by leveraging group synergies,” said Kenichi Hamana, CEO of NTT Digital, in a statement.
