Skybound Games, a division of The Walking Dead company Skybound Entertainment, named Chris Paulson, former Activision Blizzard executive, as EVP and general manager of games publishing.
Based in Los Angeles, Skybound Games has released titles like Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Before Your Eyes, and Invincible Presents: Atom Eve. Skybound Entertainment, started by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, is a cross-media company.
Paulson will be leading the commercial strategy and go-to-market efforts for Skybound’s upcoming games. With over a decade of experience in games publishing at Activision Blizzard, Paulson has been part of more than a dozen launches, including record-breaking ones for games like Diablo IV and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

Paulson joins Skybound during a period of executive growth. He will oversee growth efforts, slate strategy, global marketing, and commercial execution, as well as lead the commercial launch of a new product developed by Skybound Games in stealth mode.

Paulson’s career started at Blizzard and grew through roles at Activision Blizzard, where he led successful game launches. He was also an associate partner at McKinsey and Company.
In other news, Skybound recently launched Invincible: Doc Seismic Attacks, a free-to-play multiplayer experience developed in collaboration with House of How, available on multiple platforms.
