Bitmagic announced today the launch of its 3D game creation platform on Steam Early Access, offering consumers the ability to create games or assets through text prompts. The platform is currently in limited release, accessible through Bitmagic or Discord, with plans for an open release in May supporting web browsers and multiplayer.
The platform allows users to create 3D assets by entering prompts into a text box. Bitmagic interprets the requests, generates assets and games based on the prompts, and allows for further refinement post-generation.
Jani Penttinen, CEO of Bitmagic, stated, “We’re excited to provide access to more creators and empower them to bring their game ideas to life. We believe this platform can revolutionize the game industry, democratizing the process and enabling individuals without technical skills to create rich 3D games easily.”
Bitmagic conducted a public test of its platform last November, with the creation engine also generating a background story for the game world based on the provided concept. The platform aims to make game creation accessible to anyone, regardless of coding or technical knowledge.
