BLAST and ESL have unveiled their schedules for the 2025 CS2 season, providing insight into what players can anticipate from the premier tournament organizers next year. Importantly, 2025 signifies the conclusion of the partnered teams system, indicating that both BLAST and ESL events will likely feature a wider array of teams based on Valve’s official rankings and open qualifiers.
BLAST CS2 2025 Schedule
BLAST will commence the CS2 tournament schedule for 2025 with a two-week event beginning on January 12th. The tournament organizer has planned a total of six events throughout the year, although the specifics of how these will fit into the current structure remain unclear.
Historically, the BLAST Premier Spring Final has typically taken place in June, but under the new format, this may not be feasible. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long for more information, as BLAST has confirmed that additional details will be provided at the upcoming Spring Final 2024 in London.

- March 17th – 30th
- April 28th – May 4th

- August 25th – September 7th

ESL CS2 2025 Schedule
ESL will host a total of eight Tier-1 CS2 tournaments in 2025, aligning well with BLAST’s schedule and leaving minimal room for other tournament organizers to compete throughout the year.
While ESL has not yet revealed specific details for the tournaments, the dates February 25th – March 16th and September 23rd – October 12th are likely reserved for the ESL Pro League, based on the event durations.
- January 29th – February 9th
- February 25th – March 16th
- April 21st – 27th
- May 19th – 25th
- July 23rd – August 3rd
- August 20th – 24th
- September 23rd – October 12th

2025 CS2 Majors
Neither announcement mentioned the possibility of BLAST and ESL hosting a CS2 Major in 2025. However, considering PGL and Perfect World are the hosts for 2024, it is plausible that BLAST and ESL could be in line for a Major event in 2025.
Valve began accepting CS2 Major proposals for 2025 in mid-2023, with the following dates outlined:
- June 9th – 22nd
- December 1st – 14th
The timing of these Majors, occurring at the end of the player season, sparked controversy in the professional scene. Nonetheless, it is likely that both BLAST and ESL will vie for the opportunity to host these prestigious CS2 tournaments in 2025. Stay tuned for further updates on the hosts of the CS2 Majors for 2025.
