Warzone Mobile is on the verge of being released, with Activision Blizzard’s teams gearing up to welcome a community of tens of millions of players. This highly-anticipated mobile game has already garnered around 100 million pre-registrations after months of marketing efforts. Recently, Activision representatives issued a caution to players regarding tampering with the game prior to its launch.
On the official Discord server, Activision warned players against modifying their game files, particularly the field-of-view setting in-game. It was revealed that Warzone Mobile will feature a locked FOV setting to ensure fair gameplay, but there are third-party tools that can alter this setting. Activision emphasized that any attempts to change this setting could lead to a ban or other penalties against the player and their account.
Play Fair
The issue of cheating in Call of Duty games is well-known, affecting titles like COD Mobile, Warzone, Modern Warfare, and Black Ops. Activision continues to combat cheaters with its anti-cheat platform, RICOCHET, but the battle is ongoing. Despite this, the highly anticipated release of COD Warzone Mobile on March 21 is expected to draw millions of players back to Verdansk for an authentic and impressive mobile gaming experience.
Activision recently issued a warning to the community, cautioning against any attempts to alter the game’s files:
‘We’ll be updating our security policy closer to launch, but generally that’s not going to say explicitly we will ban you for modifying FOV files. However, it will likely say that it is possible to be banned or enforced on for modifying any game files, especially any that may give any kind of advantage.’
Since a higher field of view can provide a significant advantage in Call of Duty games, altering these settings would violate this warning. If you’re looking forward to Warzone Mobile, you can pre-register for the game now and join the global release on March 21 – just be sure to play by the rules.
