Audience intelligence platform Solsten conducted a survey of over 500,000 players worldwide to collect data on the psychological traits, hopes, and pain points of gamers.
Out of the 279 personality traits analyzed, the vast majority (87%) did not show statistically significant changes. This stability is consistent with the idea that personality traits remain consistent over time. Solsten suggests that societal and economic upheavals, along with an increase of 300 million players, were key factors driving these annual changes.
“This is a groundbreaking achievement. We have compiled the largest year-over-year psychological dataset in history, drawing from 502,810 individuals across 250 countries and dependencies. By examining 279 traits, our psychology-based AI assessment offers unparalleled insights into the evolution of humanity. This report uncovers global shifts in psychological traits, providing valuable insights for businesses, individuals, and researchers, offering a glimpse into our future as an industry and as a species. For anyone seeking to understand their audience, this report is truly profound,” said Joe Schaeppi, CEO of Solsten.
