Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. Players are challenged to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by understanding how the words are related to each other. The game resets daily at midnight with varying levels of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compete with friends.

How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to organize them into four groups of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be based on themes like video game franchises, book series, colors, or restaurant chains.
Sometimes, words may seem like they belong to multiple groups, but there’s only one correct answer. You can shuffle the words in the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If you’re right, the words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Guess wrong, and it will count as a mistake. Players have four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
