VALORANT typically receives a new update once a month. These updates may include changes to agents through buffs or nerfs to their abilities. For example, in patch 8.01 at the beginning of the year, Skye underwent a major nerf that impacted her usage in various VALORANT tournaments.
Prior to a VALORANT update going live, selected players have the opportunity to test it out in the Public Beta Environment (PBE). This allows players to experience the new update before its official release. The upcoming schedule for the VALORANT PBE is as follows:
- 8.04 – March 1, 2024
- 8.05 – March 8, 2024
Historically, the 8.03 PBE occurred on Feb. 9 and the update was released to all players on Feb. 21. Based on this pattern, it’s likely that the next VALORANT Update 8.04 could be expected around March 15. However, it’s unlikely as these dates coincide with the first 2 days of the upcoming VCT Masters Madrid event.
It is more reasonable to anticipate that the next update will be released after the conclusion of VCT Masters Madrid on March 25 or 26.
