Sega has appointed Justin Scarpone, a former executive at Disney and Scopely, as head of its transmedia efforts.
Starting April 1, 2024, Scarpone will serve as the executive vice president and head of the global transmedia group. This new establishment will enable Sega to enhance its transmedia strategy across its diverse portfolio of intellectual property, including Persona, Like a Dragon, Angry Birds, and more.
With over 30 years of experience in leadership roles at global entertainment companies such as The Walt Disney Company and Scopely, Scarpone brings valuable expertise to his new role at Sega.
Based in Tokyo, Scarpone has a track record of developing and leading successful entertainment business strategies in Asia Pacific and the West. His contributions have driven financial success and expansion in the gaming industry, with hit titles such as Line: Disney Tsum Tsum, Kingdom Hearts, and Marvel Future Fight.
