Connections is the newest puzzle game from the New York Times. The objective of the game is to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by determining how the words are related to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
Some days can be more challenging than others. If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, the answers will be provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you will see a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be based on themes like movie titles, book sequels, colors, or restaurant names.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded, with the yellow group being the easiest and the purple group being the most challenging.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed from the grid, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses will count as mistakes, with only four available before the game ends.
