As DreamLeague Season 22 is set to begin on February 25th, we had the opportunity to speak with OG BZM about Timado, upcoming tournaments, and his position as the last remaining member of OG 2.0.
Sophie McCarthy: After the addition of Wisper and Ari to your roster in November last year, you’ve been winning qualifiers and showing glimpses of the old OG. How has the team learned to play together and develop synergy?
OG BZM: It all came naturally from the start. With high-skilled players who know what they’re doing, we combine our ideas and work on execution and practice. While we initially struggled in qualifiers, we doubled down on practice and it paid off.
Sophie McCarthy: Do you have a collaborative style where everyone contributes ideas?
OG BZM: It depends on in-game situations. We learn from each game and practice sessions, gradually improving our synergy and understanding of each other’s playstyle.
Sophie McCarthy: As the last remaining player from OG 2.0, how has it been adapting to new teammates and playstyles?
OG BZM: Adapting to new teammates has been a gradual process. As new players join, I’ve learned to become more vocal and take on additional responsibilities.
Sophie McCarthy: Looking ahead to DreamLeague, which teams are you most excited to face in Group A?
OG BZM: I am looking forward to competing against Falcons and Gaimin, as we haven’t faced them in official matches yet. It will be a learning experience for us.
Sophie McCarthy: Given the recent changes to the pro Dota structure, do you prefer the tournament-based system over the previous DPC league?
OG BZM: I prefer the current system as it allows us to compete with teams from various regions and play in larger tournaments with high-skilled opponents.
Sophie McCarthy: Finally, any predictions about the new Dota hero, Ringmaster, and the role they will fill?
OG BZM: Based on the trailer, I predict Ringmaster will fill a support role, although we’ll have to wait and see for the Crownfall patch.
Sophie McCarthy: We’ve heard that Timado will be stepping into position one. How much time have you had to prepare and play with him?
OG BZM: We’ve had around a week to play and prepare with Timado. The progression has been good and we’ve been learning from each other.
